JE SUIS OCCUPÉ!

J’arrive à peine à croire qu’il y a maintenant deux semaines à l’heure où j’écris ces lignes, j’étais déjà très occupé au Salon de la France 2019. Je dois dire qu’il a été très bon pour moi cette année: j’ai rencontré beaucoup de gens très intéressés par ce que je fais, et j’ai aussi vendu beaucoup de livres (les trois volumes des cahiers d’exercices et le petit dernier!).

I am busy! 

I cannot quite believe that two weeks ago at the time I am writing these words, I was already very busy at The France Show 2019. I must say that it was a very good one for me this year: I have met a lot of people interested in what I do, and I have also sold a lot of books (the first volumes of my exercise books and the latest one!). 

Je sais que la décision de venir apprendre avec moi en cuisine ou sur Skype n’est jamais immédiate et que mes futurs clients prendront le temps de réfléchir avant de me contacter, mais je suis déjà très occupé, et j’adore ça! J’ai en ce moment dix étudiants, et je sais que j’en rencontrerai de nouveaux en février et en mars, alors je suis très content.

I know that the decision to come and learn with me in the kitchen or on Skype is never a spur of the moment thing and that my future clients will take the time to think before contacting me, but I am already very busy, and I love it! Right now, I have ten students, and I know that I will meet new ones in February and March, so I am very happy.

Je suis également occupé à penser à mon prochain livre, et à enregistrer les textes de Tête à Tête, pour vous les offrir en exercices d’écoute. Ils apparaîtront très bientôt dans mon magasin en ligne. C’est là tout l’intérêt de rencontrer de nouveaux élèves et de parler à un public qui veut apprendre le français d’une façon dynamique: cette idée m’a été donnée au Salon et je la trouve très bonne! 

I am also busy thinking about my next book, and recording the texts from Tête à Tête, to offer them to you as listening exercises. They will appear in my online shop very soon. This is where meeting new students and talking to a public who wants to learn in a dynamic way is interesting: this idea was given to me at the Show, and I find it very good!

Mes livres me donnent aussi du travail une fois écrits, puisque je dois me dépêcher de finir cet article pour aller à la poste en poster deux, avant que Mick ne ferme pour sa pause déjeuner. Vu la météo, je crois que je vais aller à la poste en voiture cette fois, même si j’aime bien y aller à pied à travers champs, normalement. 

My books also give me some work once written, as I must hurry to finish this post in order to go to the post office to send two of them, before Mick shuts shop for his lunch break. With this weather, I think I am going to drive to the post office this time, even if I normally love walking there through the fields.

Et ensuite, je dois m’occuper de mes fans sur les médias sociaux, qui semblent apprécier de plus en plus mes petits exercices, comme les 4 fautes et les mots brouillés, ainsi que le quiz de 11 heures (heure britannique bien sûr!) sur Twitter. And then, I must take care of my fans on social media, who seem to appreciate more and more my little exercises, such as the 4 mistakes or the scrambled words, as well as the 11 o’clock quiz (British time, of course!) on Twitter.
