Inspiration, you elusive muse…

Well, here I am, sitting at my computer, firmly ensconced in my cave at Sawyer and Gray, racking my brains to try to find something that you, dear friends and readers, would find entertaining to read. And failing.

Hence this post, as I reflect on the fickle and elusive nature of inspiration. Now, don’t get me wrong, I truly enjoy writing for you, and I know that there are some of you out there who have been fans of this blog since the very beginning (hello Jennifer!), and this thought does warm the cockles of my heart, or whatever the phrase is.

Which still does not make writing blog posts any easier, as I always panic that what I write only interests me! The fact that I write the same post in two languages is a creative outlet that I nonetheless enjoy, and I think that some of you at least find it useful to read the blog in French. I trust some of you like having the English version to compare the French text with, or maybe some of you like to ‘parallel read’. Maybe some of you only read one of the two versions. I would genuinely be interested to know!

So, here we are, having struggled to find something to write about, I am writing about the act of writing. Who knew I was into metafiction? And that this post would, almost, write itself? Far from me the idea of fishing for compliments (really?), but I would really love to hear from you, dear readers. If you have a couple of minutes to spare, it would be nice to read your comments, so do please let me know what happens to those silly thoughts of mine once I write them down! I look forward to your feedback…

INSPIRATION, MUSE ELUSIVE…
