It’s nearly time!

Never one to do things today when I can do them tomorrow, I have just sent my final forms to sort out my stand for the France Show, and called to organise the furniture on my stand (L59, see you there on 26-28th January!). And I cannot hide how much I am looking forward to my fourth appearance at this extravaganza of all things French.

Food, wine, culture, language, property, cooking demonstrations, book signings and cancan dancers, it’ll all be happening there. Of course, hosting at the show is actually a lot of work, but it is also a lot of fun, as you get to meet fellow exhibitors, new and old friends alike, but also a lot of visitors, come to have a grand day out.

Of course, the main aim of doing the show is to reach a new audience and meet potential new students. I will also be selling my books, and for the first time, the complete trilogy of tALK French will be available, at a special price for the show. I have met people there, who subsequently contacted me to take lessons, having taken the time to think about it. Choosing a tutor to help you improve your language skills is a commitment not to be undertaken on a whim, but there is nothing like meeting in person.

One of these lovely people I met at the show actually started a ten-lesson course this very morning, having met me last year. It seems to show that in this game, you have to be patient! And you know what, dear friends and readers, I still have a few FREE tickets to give away, so get in touch. If you promise to come and see me at the end of January, that it! C’EST PRESQUE L’HEURE!

N’étant pas un de ceux qui font le jour même ce qu’ils peuvent faire le lendemain, je viens juste d’envoyer les derniers formulaires pour garantir ma présence au France Show, et jai organisé par téléphone les meubles pour mon stand (L59, je vous y attendrai entre le 26 et 28 janvier!). Et je ne vous cache pas que j’ai hâte de faire ma quatrième apparition à cette extravagance qui représente tout ce qui est français.

La nourriture, le vin, la culture, la langue, les maisons, des démonstrations de cuisine, des rencontres d’auteurs et des danseuses de french cancan, tout y sera. Bien sûr, tenir le stand, c’est du travail, mais on s’amuse aussi beaucoup, puisque vous rencontrez les autres exposants, de nouveaux et vieux amis, mais aussi plein de visiteurs, venus passer une bonne journée.

Bien sûr, le but principal quand on participe au salon est d’atteindre un nouveau public et de rencontrer de nouveaux élèves. Je vendrai aussi mes livres, et pour la première fois, ça sera la trilogie complète de tALK French qui sera disponible, à un prix spécial pour le salon. J’y ai fait la rencontre de gens, qui m’ont ensuite contacté pour des leçons, ayant pris le temps de réfléchir. Choisir un tuteur pour vous aider à améliorer vos connaissances est un engagement à prendre au sérieux, mais il n’y a rien de tel que de se rencontrer pour de vrai.

Une de ces charmantes personnes rencontrées au salon a en fait commencé une série de dix leçons ce matin même, étant venu me voir l’an dernier. Ce qui tend à prouver qu’à ce jeu-là, il faut être patient! Et vous savez quoi, chers amis et lecteurs, j’ai encore quelques tickets GRATUITS à donner, alors faite-moi signe. Mais seulement si vous promettez de venir me voir fin janvier! Ma promesse est que vous ne regretterez pas votre journée au salon!
